Finding the perfect Easter basket can be challenging. I can't tell you how many times I've peered through the ready made baskets on shelves only to find mediocre baskets filled with things that I'd pick through.
So I started thinking. What kind of basket would be cute and versatile enough to give to just about anyone? Well, a tea basket of course.
We've put together some ideas to help you quickly and easily create an amazing Easter basket that will be used well beyond Easter.

That said, let's get to some easy basket ideas.
This basket is very simplistic with more of a feminine tea party feel. This could very easily be turned into a basket that's a bit more masculine for the male teal lover. There are just so many options for tea because it's well loved by so many people. Another great thing about these baskets is that it doesn't have to be very expensive. So here are a few examples of what you can use to easily put one together.
What Baskets Do I Use?
Basket options are endless. For this one, we chose a round, wooden chip basket with a handle. It's a pretty straightforward basket without a lot of frills, giving us the option to add our own embellishments or just let the goodies in the basket shine.
You could easily use a rattan style basket or a small wooden style crate, which make nice baskets/containers well after Easter.
Or if you're feeling really creative, you can also design your own hat box to give it a more unique look. Paper mache hat boxes are really cool to work with and would be perfect if you want to personalize your basket a little more.

Basket Filling Ideas
The next thing we do is line the basket with a heavier paper. We use brown kraft shipping paper, but newspaper would work just as well. You need a heavy enough base to hold up your items.
Crumble up your brown paper or newspaper into the bottom of your box or basket and cover it really well with a prettier basket filler. We used raffia, but paper or wood excelsior shreds are also a nice touch.
