The Way Wickless Wax Releases Scent
Wax melts are more solidly aromatic than traditional candles because they obtain slower amounts of heat and release aroma without burning the oils, allowing the wax to continue releasing scent without quickly evaporating the fragrance.
Candles burn under the direct heat of flame. The heat from the flame keeps the wax at a higher temperature, causing a faster release of fragrance into the air (compared to wax melts). However, it's the quality of the candle that determines how much pure fragrance experience you get from a candle, regardless of the evaporation. Candles that are properly made with high quality wax is going to give you a beautiful, long lasting aroma that compares to wax melts.

As with anything, there are cons. Here are a few of the drawbacks of

In the end, there are a few pluses about choosing melts over traditional candles. They're a bit cheaper to buy, they last longer, and also provide a safe way to enjoy candle fragrance over your typical and more traditional scented candle. They are a convenient choice when you want to control the amount of scent and when you want to experiment with blending scents.
