Tablescape Ideas Anyone Can Easily Accomplish

There's something inviting about a beautiful tablescape with a centerpiece and pretty trimmings. Sometimes, I create them just to glance over at my dining room and feel accomplished. It also helps to keep people from using my table as a clutter collector, but that's another blog post.

Today, I'm sharing some tablescape styling tips from my friend, Kelly, from Farm to Table Creations.

Kelly has such a beautiful way of styling her tablescapes, and I asked her to share a few tips with us on just how she pulls them off. Her fresh and fun approach to styling will inspire you to create tablescapes of your own.

So here's Kelly:

The fondest memories are made when gathered around the table.

I feel that a beautifully set table sets the tone for an unforgettable time.  The table is the first thing your guests or loved ones see before enjoying a meal together.  You want this view to be warm and inviting.  Setting a table should be simple and your guests should leave your home feeling loved by the efforts it took you to create this.

I always start with a theme.  Weaving this element into the design in simple but meaningful ways, encourages flow.  Once you have a guiding element you can incorporate this into your table setting.

The setting for your tablescape should also be considered when choosing a design.  It’s important to consider your surroundings and incorporate things that compliment one another.  Balance is the key and using what you have as a guide.

This can be so difficult for some but less is  truly more.  You don’t want too much stimulation at the dinner table.  You want your design to be pleasing to the eye but not too distracting.  A table can become uninviting when it’s over crowded.  Always keep balance in mind when choosing pieces for your table.

Last but not least, I always encourage adding a special touch to your tables.  I like to incorporate something small and meaningful to each one’s place setting.  A unique place card with your guests name written on it will make them feel special and remind them that you took the time to add this detail just for them.

When you incorporate these four elements into your table designs, you’ll always make your guests feel loved and will have created wonderful memories for them when gathered around the table.
